Weekly Farm News:
Good morning!
Its been a pretty good week on the farm,
last Sunday was the prettiest day of the year untill about
2:30 when the norther blew it, It was dry
for a change and the fields are getting into workable shape
now. Transplanted more lettuce yesterday and
started working on the asparagus field to get it cleaned
up and prepare for harvest next month, First
lot of tomatoes are stepped up to bigger pots and starting
to grow. More lettuce is about ready to set
out, I've never seen greens (collards and kale) grow so slow,
they may be even getting smaller.
Sarah's kitchen is back up and functional which is
a huge project out of the way,
Best thing we did this week was get a tube bird
feeder and fill it with thistle seed, within a couple of hours it was
covered with finches, We doubled our bird
activity by adding the extra feeder,
Thanks for your support,
Gary & Sarah
