Our Products:-
From April through November our products are available through our CSA (which provides our subscribers with an array of fresh vegetables every week through our growing season) or at one of the area farmers markets we attend.
Vegetables and Fruits
We grow upwards of 50 varieties of mixed vegetables from asparagus to zucchini. We start in the early spring with greens and root vegetables, move into green beans, squash and tomatoes, through the hot summer with okra, peas, eggplant and melons and then into the fall with all of the above. As well as growing strawberries and blackberries we have a wild plum thicket, with unique sweet/sour plums.
Eggs
A small mixed flock of chickens provides us with multicolored fresh pastured eggs. Our chickens are not certified organic, but they have constant access to certified organic pasture, we supplement their feed with certified organic feed, and they also eat a lot of our produce trimmings and any excess produce we bring back from the farmers markets. Our egg supply varies tremendously depending on the time of year and the amount of predator pressure we have.
Jams * Pickles * Pestos
We have our own state certified commercial kitchen on the farm where we try to utilize as many of our own products as possible and make jams, jellies, pickles and pesto. As a result we have an interesting and unique variety of items. We make each item in small batches to ensure quality but with the availability of ingredients limited our production is also.
